"...patience, good advice, kind guidance..."
"In 9/91, John and I stopped by the neared R.E. office and encountered Dick, the only one there. He kindly took us out "shopping" on numerous occasions over the next few weeks, and by 11/1 we were moved into our townhouse on Huasna. Over the years, many times Dick called and took me out house hunting. I always enjoyed seeing the area with him. In 1996 we decided to eliminate stairs and move to a senior park. Dick found us a good fix-up man, and he did such a good job we decided to stay. Then in 11/03, we again went looking, but illness interfered and we didn't move in 2004 as planned. On 2/2 while playing cards, Sandy Madison invited me to see a place in Hacienda Senior Park. On 2/3, I called Narlene and we took John to see it. On 2/4 we listed the place on Huasna. Within 3 weeks, our offer here was accepted, Dick and his group worked thier "magic," the Huasna place was sold, and we moved in to our new home on 3/25. I will never forget all the patience, good advice, kind guidance and friendship that Dick and Narlene have given us over 13-1/2 years. Dick has truly treated us like a favorite Aunt and Uncle, or an adopted son, as he put it. And without the help, support, reassurance, and levelheaded guidance of their Assistant, Shawn, I would never have been able to accomplish the move on my own, as it turned out. John and I have and will continue to recommend Dick and Narlene and their staff as the best all-around realtors we have ever encountered anywhere. We hope never to have to move again, but if we do, we won't hesitate to call them."

First Time Buyers >Finding A Real Estate Agent
Finding an experienced, reliable real estate agent whom you like and trust is the first step in locating your new home. Here is an approach to finding the right agent.
Call or stop by a real estate office and ask to speak with the manager. Describe the type of home you are looking for. The manager can refer you to an agent who knows that market very well. You might also use weekend "open houses" as opportunities to look for a real estate agent, as well as a new home. It is really a matter of chemistry! If you meet someone who is knowledgeable and with whom you feel comfortable, call that person!
Once you establish a strong working relationship with a real estate agent, your agent can show you a number of homes for sale, even if they are listed with other companies. Often the agent can show you a property as soon as it is placed on the market. Many of the best homes never even make it to the weekend classified section of the newspaper!
